Transformation of original gardens and landscape for a mid-century gem:

A beautiful Mid-Century modern side split home nestled on a ravine lot was given a complete re-fresh for the interior and finally, a long-neglected landscape was transformed into outdoor spaces worthy of this home.

The ravine lot offered a serene location, nestled into the bank along Mimico Creek but development was challenging as this entire site was governed by both the T.R.C.A. and Ravine and Natural Features of Toronto. A detailed application and a thorough tree inventory were required. bsq worked along with the clients to advance a landscape masterplan that would align with the vision the clients had for their home and meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.

A custom, form finish concrete retaining wall and stainless-steel water feature were the highlights of the secluded rear terrace along with the recessed paving lights, floating metals stairs and a new spa and a custom stainless-steel BBQ.
