Contemporary at home resort

The client of this newly built contemporary home in North York sought to compliment their home with a relaxing new landscape and backyard retreat.

Must-have elements included poolside lounging, new semi-private lounging spaces, lawn for family recreation and privacy.

Opportunities to create multiple lounging spots was facilitated by the length of their rear yard, connected together by an integrated poolside lounge area and walkway. Leading down the walkway is a new firepit lounge and poolside shed with shower, while a recreational lawn mirrors the pool opposite the poolside lounge. Along the home sits a modern deck that offers dining space and barbecue on one side, and a semi-enclosed firepit and TV lounge space on the other. For added privacy, hedging and greenery lines the edges of their property, completing the client’s new backyard retreat.

To update their front yard, plant massings and materials were used to complement the contemporary feel of their new home.
