It is the details that matter
Landscape elements can often suffer due to a lack of details. Doors and gates are often installed with little thought to what hinges and fasteners might be used. The exterior hardware available is often rather plain or can be susceptible to corrosion or premature failure.
For built elements the porportions, alignments and design lines can be very noticable and even more so in smaller spaces. Combined with other materials the end result can either be pleasing to the eye or it can also be an ill porportioned visual mess.
The integration of lighting and irrigation infrastructure must be done so as not to be noticable once the hardscape and softscape elements have been completed.
Smalller urban spaces can be unforgiving, too many changes in elevation can divide a space and make it harder to use, details that are incorrect or misplaced can really stand out and be hard to overlook.
We use detailed landscape plans, specific landscape details and photo realistic 3-D renders to advance our design concpets to try to ensure that we do not miss any of these details and that we can coordinate and refine our designs to the best of our ability. Aside for this, tehse drawings and details are a great way to encourage and promote feedback from our clients which often ends up being the most important part of teh design process.
